It's getting to that stage of the season when every game becomes a "must-win", and crazy results occur. None more so than on Easter Monday, when City went down to a shock 3-1 defeat at relegation-threatened Weymouth. Saturday sees the second of a trio of matches against teams battling the drop with the visit of crisis club Halifax. Steve Tully picked up City's second red card of the season at Weymouth so misses the visit of the Shaymen. Jon Richardson would expect to fill in but he is struggling to shake off an injury, so Andy Taylor could be the favourite to slot in - which would leave a midfield berth up for grabs, with Ryan Harley or Bertie Cozic likely to step in. Adam Stansfield limped off once again at Weymouth, so Ben Watson is poised to start should Stansfield miss out.

Halifax have found themselves plunged into the relegation dogfight having been deducted ten points last week for entering Administration, having fought a losing battle over the past years with a crippling CVA debt. Manager Chris Wilder, one of the longest-serving managers in the Blue Square Premier, suddenly finds his out-of-form side staring relegation in the face. Things have got so bad that Halifax even contrived to lose to whipping boys Droylsden last week. There will be one familiar face in the visitors' line-up, with Santos Gaia having joined his third club of the season on loan from Grays, where he only signed a permanent deal in the January transfer window. However, it has been a less than impressive start for the Brazilian with an Own Goal effectively handing Oxford the points last Saturday.

City visited West Yorkshire midway through the season and finally broke their hoodoo at The Shay with a comfortable 3-0 win. Richard Logan got things started with an early penalty, before second half strikes from Lee Elam and Jamie Mackie sealed the win.
