There is a weekend work party at St James Park this coming Saturday and Sunday 7th & 8th July to help finish preparations for the coming season, both days start at 9.30am.

Work will include the following:

Glossing the railings, dugouts, disabled bays in the Doble stand.

Painting the Food huts prior to the club taking them over (Lindley Catering have removed all their appliances and they have been cleaned but need repainting).

Repainting the entrance to the players tunnel due to some flaking problems (the walls have been prepared and primed to ensure the problem does not reoccur).

Painting the bottom sections (around 10" up from the base) of the crash barriers on the Big Bank with a rust inhibiting paint to ensure we comply with recommendations made during a recent Health & Safety visit.

Yellow safety lines on steps need repainting around the ground.

There will be also other jobs which can be undertaken which do not involve painting.

All you require are some old clothes (the paint we use will not wash out), drinks and food are supplied, all materials will be in place.

If you have not come along before don't be nervous come and join in it is a very rewarding and enjoyable way to support your club, meet fellow City fans and see the ground! If you can't make all day but can spare a morning or afternoon that is a great help.
